I didn't like my first attempt at a pony so I spent a few days this time and really focused on putting some of myself into the character. Definitely sticking with her!

Keynote is based on a slice of my childhood. Her cutie mark is a barrel key (based on my Gringotts Key from Pottermore) with a slip of paper wrapped around. Paper can be rolled inside of barrel keys to pass along information or hide secrets, a method I used often as a child. Her cutie mark indicates trustworthiness as a secret keeper.

Her special magical ability deals with locking and unlocking objects. I'm working out the specifics but I'd like her to be able to affect other unicorns' magic by casting spells to visualize the magic patterns and unravel them. It's a form of unlocking after all. When she's teased or attacked Keynote can lock ponies' legs together so they can't chase her, or lock their jaws shut so they can't talk to her.

Also she has two older brothers (my real life brothers have their own ponysonas - a pegasus and earth pony) and two pets named Alo and Amora that she uses to carry messages during her travels around Equestria, but I won't go into that now.

Yeah. I also haven't been able to draw anything new because I don't have photoshop (my grandfather deleted it because he fails. So, I'm a bit depressed and I don't want to use paint because it sucks..

Have you tried looking for art programs online? I hear gimp's not bad, and I know a few people who downloaded Corel Painter and they seem to like it. I've never used it though...

Things are going okay for the most part. Hit a rough spot and lost a friend, as I said on fb, but otherwise I guess I'm okay. Good to hear you're doing well!
